Vitor de Melo Sugimoto (São Paulo, b. 1986) holds a BFA from Unicentro Belas Artes de São Paulo and earned a master's degree in art theory and critic from Universidade de São Paulo in São Paulo in 2015. Vitor's diverse practice, which includes sculpture, painting and works on paper, uses a wide range of materials combined with themes which includes folklore, alchemy, mythology and fiction – fluidly charting a world without boundaries. His works explores how the connection between seemingly disparate subjects reveals human stories.
Group exhibitions include London Calling, The Old Truman Brewery, London (2014); Brincando com arte, Casa da Dona Yaya, São Paulo (2013). He lives and works in São Paulo.
